Project Darkroom by Chris Tate

I loaded up my Contax T3 with some ridiculously awesome 400TX film and the quality is outstanding. Needless to say, film is defininately gonna be a part of my world of fine-art photography.  Now, I just need to put together a little darkroom to develop my film and a place to keep my negatives in order.  Gonna need some google help for this. Bad News About The Contax T2 by Chris Tate

The Contax T2 I bought ended up having a light leak so I sent it back.  But, I just happened to buy a Contax T3 right around the same time as the T2.  The T3 is amazing.  Its all it's rumored to be and more.  The lens is so sharp its ridiculous.  Although the T2 I believe to be an all around better street machine, the T3 is the over all the best camera for what I do.

Photo Book Selections by Chris Tate

I've decided to go the book route with some of my photographs. Not sure when I'll have the books together, but I've started picking out the photos I like for them. Right now, I'm not sure If I wanna design the book or have someone else design it for me. I think it would be fun to design it myself though. I'll be having fun in lightroom grouping photos tonight :)

The Lens Hood Experiment Went Well by Chris Tate

I haven't loaded the shots I took without the lens hood into lightroom yet, but from what I was seeing on my LCD screen, the shots look great! I also noticed the camera was shooting a lot faster and, without the hood making the camera bigger, it was more stealthy, less noticeable on the streets.  I really don't like the idea of not having a hood on because it guards the lens and it will do its job occasionally blocking out the sun, but the performance of the x100s without the hood is amazing and I'm gonna keep shooting that way with it.  My lens will be fine!

Shooting Film by Chris Tate

I took out a Contax T2 a couple weeks ago and ima tell you, after looking at the film that was developed from my shots, I am totally into film now. I do like some of the digital advantages over film but film has a certain artistic quality I don't believe digital quiet has.

A Good Day of Cruising and Shooting and Stuff by Chris Tate

Today was a good day for me.  I got out and cruised around checking out a few areas I had in mind for photography and I even got a couple decent but different shots in while I was out and found a few surprises I wanna shoot.  I got a yummy looking doughnut recipe from a friend on Facebook.  I think I trained my dog to shake hands :).  I did a few other things and now I gotta do a little commercial real estate investment research and then I'm gonna relax with my wife the rest of the day.  Have a good evening and rest of your afternoon folks.
